The King's
In Biblestore is a ministry of Restoration Ministries which was established
in 1973 as a non-profit society. The mission of the society is to promote
unity in the Body of Christ and to provide resources for spiritual renewal
and Christian growth. The King's In Coffee House was created as the
need to provide a place for "hippies" and "street people"
to gather and hear the gospel became apparent. As these people became
Christians they were not readily absorbed into mainline denominiations
and the Coffee House evolved into a church (also a ministry of Restoration
Ministries known as The King's In Christian Fellowship).
The
King's In Biblestore grew out of the original coffee house format. Inventory
increased from a few book racks of Christian material in the corner
of a basement to the 2,700 sq. ft. building that today houses the largest
biblestore in the northern part of British Columbia.
As
a non-profit society, profits from the biblestore are channelled into
other organizations that are both evangelistic and dedicated to building
the Body of Christ around the world. Currently, the society contributes
$12,000.00 annually into ministries advancing the gospel locally and
abroad.
